Opportunity:
A regional distributor for a large petroleum company wanted to create a line of high-end, die-cast replicas of the company's tankers and other heavy equipment. The client didn't want to invest a large amount of money in tooling and development, but they wanted to be able to distribute replicas to their customers that were accurate representations of the actual vessels.

Challenge:
To create customized, collectible grade, scale model die-cast replicas, for limited distribution, without incurring the cost of developing all new custom dies and tools.

Solution:
First, using our worldwide sourcing network, we were able to identify several suppliers of high-quality die-cast models that closely resembled the product our client wanted to purchase. Then, using our inhouse design, engineering and tooling capabilities, we worked with the manufacturers to modify their existing products to meet our client's design criteria. We were thus able to supply the client with a product that fit their budget and their design.
