Opportunity:
A pharmaceutical client was looking for a fun, low-cost item to promote a new
allergy medication. The client wanted the item to convey the image of a healthy, active lifestyle. They chose a dive mask and snorkel, and were looking to deliver an attractive,
quality item at a very low cost.

Challenge:
The client needed to mail out the snorkel gear to arrive at the doctor's offices
in time to coincide with the nationwide launch of the new medication. With less
than sixty days before the launch, the client was sure their sourcing effort would be limited to suppliers with domestic inventory. Unfortunately, the volume the client needed was greater than any of the U.S. supply houses could furnish in their time frame.
To boot, the client wanted a custom graphic on the mask, which was too costly to
add in the U.S.A.

Solution:
IPS was able to take the client's project directly to the factory in Asia where many of the U.S. brands have their snorkel gear manufactured. By cutting out multiple layers of
administration and margin, IPS was able to work through the logistics of the client's program for them, and to identify the exact product that would meet their needs.

Result:
The customized dive masks and snorkels were delivered to the client's customer base
in time for the nationwide launch of the new drug. Due to our factory direct sourcing
capabilities, IPS was able to provide the client with the same quality dive mask
carried by major U.S. brands at less than half the cost, in about one third of the time.
